The Spy Next Door

Personally I think Jackie Chan is getting too old for his jump, stump, quick grab and dunk kinda stunts. But he seems to pull it off every time he does it. Which is good for him. His movies are full of humour and you do feel a bit relaxed, joyful and fresh after having watched them.

I reckon Spy Next Door is going to leave an impression just like that.

Jackie is babysitting his girlfriend's children while one of the kids inadvertently download a secret formula. Important to his nemesis who would do anything to get his hands on that formula leads to them meeting again and thus starts the interesting chain of events that set the tone for a nice long and interesting movie!

The Book Of Eli

A movie about a post-apocalyptic hero who has to guard the Book of Eli which would provide knowledge for how to redeem the whole society given to ruins and misery.

I'm a big Denzel Washington fan and this is the type of movie I would want to sink my eyes into (you can't really sink your teeth into a movie can you?). Plot seems to be pretty interesting. Trailer shows there has been a war of catastrophic proportions 31 years ago after which everything is pretty much destroyed all over the world or at least in America.

Denzel Washington as Eli then has his own personal but epic journey to revive the state of livelihood through the Book of Eli that holds the knowledge to redeem everyone from their misery.

Daybreakers

What is it with all the stories, movies and television series about Vampires? It's like you skip any other TV channel and there's a Vampire show on it. After every dozen movies or so there's a Vampire movie. I suppose it's just something about the whole concept of Vampires that intrigues everybody!

Daybreakers again, is a story about Vampires becoming the majority population on the earth which occurs due to a plague that takes over the whole human race. With only a handful of humans remaining as a resource to feed all the Vampires, it's pretty obvious that Vampires have a survival issue at hand. Vampires search for different ways to farm the last remaining human species so that they could survive in future.

Another group of Vampires want to save the last remaining humans from being wiped off the face of the planet altogether. Humans want to repopulate and survive as well - the natural human instinct - and that's what pretty much happens throughout the movie.

There's just no stopping Lady Gaga - Bad Romance!

She's taking over our minds and souls with her bad and black music. :P
I never know what I should be looking at first in the video. The customs? Story? Dance? What not?

Her videos are a mix of everything. Her music is pretty different from anything conventional we hear.

Maybe that's the thing that keeps her apart, not to mention all the out of the world costumes.

The Crazies Debut Trailer

Imagine living in a small town where everything is safe and happy... until suddenly it isn't. Imagine your friends and neighbors going quickly and horrifically insane.

David Dutton (Timothy Olyphant) is sheriff of Ogden Marsh, a picture-perfect American town with happy, law-abiding citizens. But one night, one of them comes to a school baseball game with a loaded shotgun, ready to kill. Another man burns down his own house…after locking his wife and young son in a closet inside. Within days, the town has transformed into a sickening asylum; people who days ago lived quiet, unremarkable lives have now become depraved, blood-thirsty killers, hiding in the darkness with guns and knives. Sheriff Dutton tries to make sense of what's happening as the horrific, nonsensical violence escalates. Something is infecting the citizens of Ogden Marsh... with insanity. Now complete anarchy reigns as one by one the townsfolk succumb to an unknown toxin and turn sadistically violent. In an effort to keep the madness contained, the government uses deadly force to close off all access and won't let anyone in or out – even those uninfected. The few still sane find themselves trapped: Sheriff Dutton; his pregnant wife, Judy (Radha Mitchell); Becca (Danielle Panabaker), an assistant at the medical center; and Russell (Joe Anderson), Dutton's deputy and right-hand man. Forced to band together, an ordinary night becomes a horrifying struggle for survival as they do their best to get out of town alive.

Sherlock Holmes

Robert Downey Jr. has only gone up and up since the dawn of Iron Man on the cinema screens. He's provided another promising role in the shape of his new character, Sherlock Holmes.

The film is set in 1891 and revolves around Holmes (Robert Downey, Jr.) and Watson (Jude Law) stopping a conspiracy to destroy Britain. The film opens with Holmes apprehending the murderous cult leader Lord Blackwood (Mark Strong), who promises he will return from the dead and exact his revenge as he is being led to the gallows.

In May 2009, Warner Bros. released its official plot summary:
“ In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous characters, Sherlock Holmes sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country. ”

The full synopsis released in July included the following:
“ The action-adventure mystery Sherlock Holmes is helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie, for Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures. Robert Downey, Jr. brings the legendary detective to life, and Jude Law stars as Holmes' trusted colleague, Watson, a doctor and war veteran who is a formidable ally for Sherlock Holmes. Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have bested Holmes and who has maintained a tempestuous relationship with the detective. Mark Strong stars as their mysterious new adversary, Blackwood. Kelly Reilly plays Watson's love interest, Mary.

Am I posting too much of Kesha? - Take it off!

Thanks to a generous viewer the tune which many people were trying to figure out is form the song "There's a place in France where the.." which is pretty familiar to this one. This tune has many variations which have been used in other songs as well. So now you know. :)

Nevertheless it's a good song. Sure is going to do well. Kesha - Take it off! for you.

Invictus

Invictus is a great movie that explores the factions of human faith and belief in ones own self by changing the fate of others, in this case the whole nation. This movie tells the story of President Nelson Mendela (Morgan Freeman) when he was released in 1990 and brought about a new revolution in the country with his new agenda of "balancing black aspirations with white fears".

While Mandela attempts to tackle the country's largest problems - including crime and unemployment, he attends of game of the Springboks, the country's rugby team. Blacks in the stadium cheer against their home squad, as the Springboks (their history, players and even their colors) represent prejudice and apartheid in their mind. Knowing that South Africa is set to host the 1995 Rugby World Cup in one year's time, Mandela meets with Springboks captain Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon). Though Mandela never verbalizes his true meaning during their meeting, Francois understands the message below the surface: If the Springboks can gain the support of black South Africans and succeed in the upcoming World Cup, the country will be unified and inspired.

Why is 'Owl City' in the Top Ten?

I really can't understand the reason why a lame song like 'Fireflies by Owl City' would stay at top for so long. It's been weeks! Get the song out of there @ billboard.com. I heard it a few times and it seems like a nerd made it. I'm sorry I have to be rude in my comments but I'm just being straightforward here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is one of those songs that are lame but still make it to the top because people sometimes like to hear lame songs out of the blue.

Have fun with your good run of luck Owl City. We'll be waiting for more ..

Here's the song

Some tid bits about Iron Man 2

In an interview with USA Today, director Jon Favreau revealed that the sequel is set six months after the events of Iron Man. Favreau also discussed how their version of Iron Man's comic book nemesis the Mandarin "allows us to incorporate the whole pantheon of villains". He also mentioned that S.H.I.E.L.D. will continue to have a major role.

During development, Favreau said the film would explore Stark's alcoholism, but it would not be "the Demon in a Bottle version". Downey said, while promoting the first film, that Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) would probably develop a drinking problem as he is unable to cope with his age, the effects of revealing he is Iron Man, as well as Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) getting a boyfriend. Before filming began, Downey revealed that while the film was not an adaptation of the Demon in a Bottle storyline from the comic book series, it was more about the "interim space" between the origin and the Demon story arc.

Should also be fun to watch Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow. She's an undercover spy posting as Stark's assistant.

Artist Of The Year: Taylor Swift

From Billboard.com

To say Taylor Swift had a remarkable year would be a comic understatement.

She sold more albums than any artist not named Michael Jackson. Her first headlining tour, Fearless 2009, sold out every show within minutes. She became the youngest woman to win the Country Music Assn.'s entertainer of the year award, and she set seemingly every chart record that exists.

But most important, she proved herself a graceful, timeless celebrity, handling hosting duties on "Saturday Night Live" and a rampaging Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards with equal aplomb. Billboard caught up with her on the phone from London to discuss her exhilarating last 12 months.

Billboard: Have you spent much time reflecting on your growth in the past year?

Taylor Swift: I do a lot of reflecting. I'll be driving down the streets I used to drive down in Nashville and my song will come on the radio or I'll pass my high school and something will remind me of how my life was before all of these crazy dreams started coming true. We wished for this, my parents and I, every single day without actually believing it would come true.

Up in the Air

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) is a man who likes to live his life alone without a relationship. He's a man with the philosophy that a personal life is not important and sex, booze and drugs are all that you need to numb yourself while getting past your life.

His job is to travel around the country to terminate corporate employees. Walter Kirn stated in the film's press notes: "Rayn is like a masseur who comes in and sort of rubs your shoulders while rolling your desk chair into the elevator".

With that his company chooses to ground him by keeping him at the corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. "The movie is about the examination of a philosophy—what if you decided to live hub to hub, with nothing, with nobody?" according to Reitman.

Two years later, the Foxes and their son Ash (Jason Schwartzman) are living in a hole. Fox, now a newspaper columnist, decides to move the family into a better home and buys one in the base of a tree, ignoring the warnings of his lawyer Badger (Bill Murray). The tree is located very close to the enormous facilities run by farmers Walter Boggis, Nathan Bunce, and Franklin Bean (Michael Gambon). Soon after the Foxes move in, Felicity's nephew Kristofferson (Eric Chase Anderson) comes to live with them, as his father has become very ill. Fox and the opossum building superintendent, Kylie (Wallace Wolodarsky), make plans to steal various types of produce and poultry from the three farms, one by one. After all three heists are a success, the farmers decide to camp out near the Fox family's tree and kill Fox. When he emerges, the farmers open fire, only managing to shoot off his tail before he retreats back into his home. The farmers then attempt to dig Fox out, first by hand and then with three excavators. After tearing the hill site of the tree into a massive crater, the farmers discover that the Foxes have dug an escape tunnel deep underground.

Tiger Woods clubbed by wife 911 call released, and BCS still up in air!

From TMZ:

Tiger Woods did not bleed in the vehicle he crashed Friday morning -- not a single drop -- according to law enforcement sources.

Cops from the Windermere PD, who first responded on scene, observed Tiger's lower lip split open and we're told he had other marks as well. But TMZ sources say there was absolutely no blood in the SUV.

What's more -- we've learned Tiger's wife, Elin Nordegren, told Windermere cops she smashed the back passenger window with the golf club, then unlocked the driver's door and dragged Tiger out. Yet there were no traces of blood.

This has created even more suspicion with law enforcement ... that Tiger's wounds may have not been the result of SUV meets fire hydrant.

Video contains some pretty funny and weird comments about Tiger Woods. Not to say that I don't respect the player. But those are some da*n funny comments. :). Ignore the rest.
