Up in the Air

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) is a man who likes to live his life alone without a relationship. He's a man with the philosophy that a personal life is not important and sex, booze and drugs are all that you need to numb yourself while getting past your life.

His job is to travel around the country to terminate corporate employees. Walter Kirn stated in the film's press notes: "Rayn is like a masseur who comes in and sort of rubs your shoulders while rolling your desk chair into the elevator".

With that his company chooses to ground him by keeping him at the corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. "The movie is about the examination of a philosophy—what if you decided to live hub to hub, with nothing, with nobody?" according to Reitman.

  1. Anything that includes sex, booze and drugs sounds like a good movie to check out. Which is exactly what I'm gonna do, at some point.

Great job Jaunty! When I first read some of the previous posts, I thought your site got hacked or something, but realized your just expanding it to more than just entertainment.

  2. Thanks Mike.

It's not an expansion of sorts that I wanted to write on that topic. Although I am experimenting a bit by writing on topics from as work given to me on a site that pays you for doing that.

It's microworkers.com. So if some topics seem out of the way, they're because I took some work from there and wrote it on here.

So far I've only made 0.30$ there but most of my reviews haven't been rated there yet.

    Let's see.
