Adam Lambert's Dark Side Emerges In 'Better Than I Know Myself' Video

The only person who knows Adam Lambert better than he knows himself is -- well -- Adam Lambert.

In the "American Idol" runner-up's new video for "Better Than I Know Myself," there are two extreme sides to the performer's personality. Evil Adam, the glammed-up, liquor-chugging, dark version is on one side, while tea-drinking, meditating Adam is on the other. Watch below.

While Lambert's blue-eyed good side has 100 percent oxygen pumped into the room, the bad side douses the floor in alcohol and lights a match. As one side goes up in flames, the peaceful twin is taken down with his dangerous amber-eyed double, running out of oxygen and choking on smoke.

Dark Adam charges through the flames, kicks through the mirror, and somehow manages to save his other half, despite the fact that both are trapped in fiery prisons.

Suddenly a normal version of Lambert -- a little bit glam, a little bit relaxed -- is walking down the street. As the camera pans in, we see that he is a balance of both sides, evidenced by his eyes: one amber, one bright blue.

"Better" is the first single to Lambert's sophomore album, "Trespassing," which is arriving this spring on RCA Records. Check out Billboard's review of the single here.

Bon Iver Not Performing at Grammys: 'I Don't Think They Wanted Us To Play'

Bon Iver may be up for four Grammys, and frontman Justin Vernon may even appear (digitally, anyway) in a striking new commercial for this year's ceremony -- but you won't see the indie-folk band performing at next Sunday's ceremony.

Vernon told Billboard on Thursday night (Feb. 2) that Bon Iver was asked to perform at the awards show, but as part of a performance with another artist. "We wanted to play our music, but were told that we couldn't play. We had to do a collaboration with someone else," said Vernon at a New York event supporting Bushmills whiskey, which the group began endorsing last fall. "And we just felt like it was such a large stage -- we're getting nominated for this record that we made. Me and Brian [Joseph] and a bunch of our fucking friends and we were given accolades for it, and all of a sudden we were being asked to play music that had nothing to do with that. We kind of said 'fuck you' a little bit, and they sort of acted like they wanted us to play, but I don't think they wanted us to play."

Who exactly did the Grammys want Bon Iver to play with? "Awesome people. People that I would love to play a song with," Vernon said. "But you know what? Fuckin' rock n' roll should not be decided by people that have that job. Rock n' roll should be the fucking people with guitars around their backs." He gestured to his three bandmates -- Joseph, Kyle Frenette and brother Nate Vernon. "And their friends. And their managers."

Of course, this isn't the first time Vernon has had a few choice words about the Grammys. But despite all the disagreements, Vernon is happy to be featured in the current Grammy campaign from ad agency TBWA\Chiat\Day. "We had to deal with all this shit, we wanted to get a promo out of the deal," Vernon said. "Go ahead, pay for our commercial. There's a big misunderstanding -- I don't want to sell music. But if people are going to be selling music, and they want to sell our music without disturbing the medium of what it actually is, we want to fucking do that. I want people to hear the music that we make, I don't want to do it in any shitty way."

Bon Iver Bound for 'Saturday Night Live'

The band takes a similar approach to its ads with Bushmills, whose "Since Way Back" campaign also included Chromeo, Theophilus London and Elijah Wood. "To be honest with you, man, it was more about people working in the field of advertising that weren't assholes," Vernon said of Bushmills, which is owned by Diageo and repped by music marketing agency Cornerstone. "It's interesting, being part of Bon Iver, it's like a band that started out as nothing and became something and in the process seeing how quickly to become that something has merit… And for something like Bushmills, it's been around for 400 years and has traversed centuries of alcohol laws and lobbyists and global corporate whatever."

Yvonne Briese, VP brand marketing for Diageo's whisky brands, said Bushmills has seen an "uptick" in awareness and even sales since the Bon Iver campaign rolled out, noting that the band is much like the whiskey itself. "There's not for everybody's taste profile, they're unique and discerning."

Was 2011 the Beginning of the End of 'Selling Out' in Indie Rock?

The awareness part of the uptick likely came in December when Australian electronic act The Avalanches sparked a Twitter debate with Vernon over what they termed "endor$ing a product with proven devastating health risks." Vernon insists there's no bad blood. "I would've said the same shit," he said. "That's the only fucking thing pissed me off over that whole thing is that a whole bunch of people tried to make it out to be like it was a thing. But hey, people are just trying to get shit off their breastplate you know what I mean?"

It's no surprise that Drake loves his women with curves. Take exhibit... er' we lost count: "Practice." For the video of the "Take Care" track, Drake recruits the voluptuous model, Kyra Chaos, to shake her derriere before her bedroom mirror.

"Practice" may not be the last time Drake and Juvenile collaborate. Mannie Fresh told Billboard that after Juvenile and himself gave Drizzy the green light to sample "Back That Thang Up," Mannie Fresh sent the Toronto rapper songs for Juve's upcoming album, "Rejuvenation." "I'm waiting for him to pick what he likes, put whatever he wants on it and send it back," Mannie said.

Tenacious D, the mock-rock duo comprised of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will release its third album and first effort in six years, "Rize of the Fenix," in May.

"Fenix" follows the group's 2001 self-titled album, which featured funny-but-actually-awesome-and-well-written rock tracks like "Wonderboy" and "Tribute," and 2006's "The Pick of Destiny," which served as the soundtrack to their film "Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny." Black spent the hiatus starring in comedies like "Be Kind Rewind,"  "Gulliver's Travels" and both "Kung Fu Panda"'s, while Gass has appeared in films like "Extreme Movie" and Black's "Year One."

The duo is included on the newly announced lineup for the Sasquatch! Music Festival, which will invade the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash. from May 25-28. Tenacious D recently supported the Foo Fighters on the Australian leg of their Wasting Light tour last year. Watch Foos frontman Dave Grohl play a demon in the 2002 music video for "Tribute":

Madonna's finally giving all her "Luvin" to her fans.

"Give Me All Your Luvin'," the long-waited first single from Madonna's forthcoming "M.D.N.A." album, made its debut on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" on Los Angeles' 102.7 KIIS-FM on Friday (Feb. 3) morning, along with a mega-mix of tracks from the album. The song's video, which features guest stars M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj as cheerleaders, was simultaneously released on Madonna's official YouTube channel. Watch below.

Fans got their first glimpse of the track in November, when a "Give Me All Your Luvin'" demo leaked.

"My true fans wouldn't do this," Madonna said at the time, addressing the leak through manager Guy Oseary's Twitter feed.

The song and mega-mix will be played every hour on participating Clear Channel stations this weekend, leading up to the Material Girl's Super Bowl half-time show performance in Indianapolis on Sunday.

Earlier this week, M.I.A. confirmed on the BBC that she and Minaj will join Madonna at the half-time set. And according to Will.i.am, "Sexy and I Know It" chart-toppers LMFAO will take the stage as well. "M.D.N.A.," Madonna's 12th studio album and first for Interscope Records, is expected in March.
